King Wen owned two-thirds of the land of the world, and King Wu conquered King Zhou and thus owned the world. 'Zhong Yong' says, 'King Wu inherited the achievements of Tai Wang, Wang Ji, and King Wen. As soon as he put on the battle clothes, he owned the world.'" Shang's annotation says, "The Lin Ci describes the origin of the Zhou kings in sequence. Dan is the name of the Duke of Zhou. 'Si Guo' is like the four directions, not referring to Guan, Cai, Shang, and Yan."

Shang's annotation says, "The annotation in 'Di Guan': All the gods of disasters of people and things are called 'Bu'. 'Ji Bu' is what is called the 'chicken disaster' in 'Wu Xing Zhi'." [Going out and hitting the mountain, the traveler is worried about the hardship] Explain the fourth hexagram line of Meng: "Trapped in ignorance, there are difficulties." "Di" means hitting. 中文:[众多鸟儿飞翔的地方,其中有大的怪异之事]解释坎九二 “坎卦有险阻,谋求小的收获可以得到。” 意思是处于险陷之中,不可操之过急,应当逐步脱离险境。 [(身形)像一丈长的身子,长长的头]解释需六四 “在血泊中等待,从洞穴中逃出。” 意思是如同处在血泊之中,要尽快逃离洞穴。 [给我带来惊恐和忧愁]阐释讼卦的卦辞 “有诚信却被阻塞,要警惕,中途吉祥,最终凶险。”

英文:[Where many birds are flying, there is a great strange thing among them] Explain the second hexagram line of Kan: "The hexagram Kan has obstacles. Seeking a small gain can be achieved." It means that when in a dangerous situation, one should not be too hasty and should gradually get out of the dangerous situation. [The body is like one zhang long and has a long head] Explain the fourth hexagram line of Xu: "Waiting in a pool of blood and escaping from the cave." 1800 坎之比

中文:[大禹开凿龙门,使水源通畅便利]解释坎卦的彖辞 “行走在险途却不失去诚信。内心亨通,是因为有刚健中正之德。行动有嘉尚,前往就会有功绩。” 开凿龙门是行走在险途却不失去诚信,使水源通畅便利是前往就会有功绩。 [一同注入沧海]解释师卦的象辞 “地中有水,是师卦。君子因此容纳百姓,蓄养众人。” 意思是广泛容纳百姓,聚集养育众人。 [百姓得以安居乐业]解释比卦的彖辞 “比卦,吉祥。比,是辅助的意思,下面的人顺从。” [集注]0016 乾卦之豫卦,2926 升卦之升卦。

1802 坎之履

中文:[居住在陆地且缺少泉水,山很高却没有云彩]解释坎初六 “习坎卦,陷入到陷坑之中,凶险。” [车子行驶千里,路途上没有弄脏车轮]解释小畜初九 “返回到自己的道路,有什么过错呢?吉祥。” [因为口渴而对我产生怨恨] 即 “怨我为渴”。解释履九五 “刚决果行地履行职责,守正防危。” 意思是不可刚愎自用。 [集注]3144 鼎卦之比卦。

英文:[Living on land with little spring water, the mountain is high but there are no clouds] Explain the first hexagram line of Kan: "The hexagram Xi Kan, falling into the pit, ominous." [The carriage travels a thousand li, and the wheels are not soiled on the journey] Explain the first hexagram line of Xiao Xu: "Returning to one's own path, what fault is there? Auspicious." [Holding resentment towards me because of thirst] That is, "Yuan Wo Wei Ke". Explain the fifth hexagram line of Lü: "Performing duties resolutely, be steadfast and guard against danger." 1803扻之泰[朝視不明, 夜不見光]釋序卦"坎者, 陷也." [暝抵空床, 季女奔亡]暝. 天黑. 釋雜卦"履, 不處也." 言循禮而行, 不敢安處.[愴然心傷]釋泰九三"无平不陂, 无往不復. 艱貞, 无咎. 勿恤其孚, 于食有福." [集注]1104蠱之豫.

1803 坎之泰

中文:[早晨视力不好看不清,夜晚也看不见光亮]解释序卦 “坎,是陷入的意思。” [天黑时来到空床前,小女儿逃跑了]暝,是天黑的意思。解释杂卦 “履,是不居处(不安于现状,要有所行动)的意思。” 意思是遵循礼仪而行,不敢安于现状。 [心中悲伤凄然]解释泰九三 “没有始终平坦而不倾斜的,没有一往无前而不返回的。在艰难中守正,没有过错。不要担忧自己的诚信,在饮食方面会有福运。” [集注]1104 蛊卦之豫卦。

英文:[Having poor eyesight in the morning and not being able to see clearly, and also not seeing any light at night] Explain the Sequence of Hexagrams: "Kan means falling into." [Coming to the empty bed in the dark, the youngest daughter has run away] "Ming" means it is dark. 1804坎之否[齊魯永國, 仁聖輔德]釋坎卦卦辭"習坎, 有孚, 維心亨, 行有尚." 永國, 淵遠流長之國. [進禮雅言]釋泰象"天地交, 泰. 后以財成天地之道, 輔相天地之宜, 以左右民." [定公以安]釋否九四"有命, 无咎, 疇離祉." 四部注"春秋定公十年, 會齊侯于夾谷, 孔子相之. 黎彌言於齊侯言:孔子知禮而無勇, 若使萊人以兵劫之, 必得志. 齊侯從之. 兩君就壇, 兩相相揖, 齊人鼓譟而進, 欲以執魯君. 孔子歷階升曰:吾兩君之好, 夷狄之民何為來為? 命司馬止之. 齊侯乃謝曰:寡人之過也. 退而與二三大夫曰:魯以君子之道輔其君子, 以夷狄之俗教寡人. 遂歸所侵鄆, 汶, 龜陰之田以謝魯."

1804 坎之否

中文:[齐国和鲁国是长久存在的国家,有仁德圣明的人辅助其德行]解释坎卦的卦辞 “习坎卦,有诚信,内心亨通,行动有嘉尚。” 永国,指源远流长的国家。 [进献礼仪,谈吐文雅]解释泰卦的象辞 “天地相交,是泰卦。君主因此剪裁成就天地运行的规律,辅助天地化生之宜,来帮助百姓。” [使定公得以安定]解释否九四 “承受天命,没有过错,谁能得到福祉。” 四部注释说 “《春秋・定公十年》,(鲁定公)在夹谷与齐侯相会,孔子担任傧相。黎弥对齐侯说:孔子懂得礼仪但没有勇气,如果让莱人用武力劫持他,一定能如愿。齐侯听从了他的建议。两位君主登上祭坛,两位傧相相互作揖,齐人大声鼓噪着前进,想要劫持鲁君。孔子一步一步登上台阶说:我们两国君主友好相会,夷狄的百姓为什么要来这里捣乱?命令司马制止他们。齐侯于是道歉说:这是我的过错。(齐侯)退下后对几位大夫说:鲁国用君子之道辅助他们的君主,却用夷狄的习俗来教导我。于是归还了所侵占的郓、汶、龟阴的田地来向鲁国谢罪。”

The annotation in Sibu says, "In 'Chun Qiu, the tenth year of Ding Gong', (Duke Ding of Lu) met with the Marquis of Qi at Jia Gu, and Confucius served as the usher. Li Mi said to the Marquis of Qi: Confucius knows etiquette but has no courage. If the people of Lai are made to hijack him with force, it will surely succeed. The Marquis of Qi followed his suggestion. The two monarchs ascended the altar, and the two ushers bowed to each other. The people of Qi shouted and advanced, wanting to hijack the Duke of Lu. Confucius stepped up the steps one by one and said: Our two monarchs are having a friendly meeting. Why are the people of the Yi and Di here to make trouble? He ordered the Si Ma to stop them. The Marquis of Qi then apologized and said: This is my fault. After retreating, (the Marquis of Qi) said to several doctors: Lu uses the way of the gentleman to assist their monarch, but teaches me with the customs of the Yi and Di. So he returned the occupied fields of Yun, Wen, and Gui Yin to apologize to Lu State."

Shang's annotation using the hexagram images is wrong. 中文:[深水难以涉过,泥泞的道路没到了车毂]解释序卦 “坎,是陷入的意思。” [牛疲惫不堪不能前进]解释随六二 “系恋小子(僮仆),失去了丈夫(阳刚大人)。” [陷入泥泞成为祸患]解释序卦 “蛊,是有事(整治之事)的意思。” 意思是事物出现蛊坏就必定会有需要整治的事情。

1814 坎之贲

中文:[在南方贩货,在北方经商]解释坎九五 “坎水还未盈满,小丘已经被夷平,没有过错。” [与怨恨进行交易(招致怨恨)]阐释噬嗑六三的象辞 “遇到毒(伤害),是因为居位不适当。” 意思是将会遭遇怨恨和不满,是不是因为居位不恰当呢。尚氏注释说 “《论语》中说:依据利益去行动,会招来很多怨恨。” [获得百倍的利益]解释贲上九 “用白色来文饰(以质朴无华修饰自身),没有过错。” 意思是用质朴无华来修养自身,就可以没有过错。

1817 坎之无妄

中文:[獐子和鹿成群奔跑,自然地安乐喜悦]解释坎卦的卦辞 “习坎卦,有诚信,内心亨通,行动有嘉尚。” [公子喜好游玩]解释复六二 “美好地回复(能安于回复善道),吉祥。” [别人会有很多收获(自己不妄想也能获利)]解释无妄六二 “不耕种就想收获,不开垦荒地就想种熟地,那么有所前往是有利的。” 意思是务实而不做妄想,前往就会有利。

1818 坎之大畜

中文:[恭敬、宽厚、诚信、敏捷,践行福气而没有危险]解释坎卦的象辞 “水接连不断地到来,是习坎卦。君子因此保持常德行,熟习教化之事。” 《论语・阳货》中,子张向孔子问仁,(孔子说)“恭敬、宽厚、诚信、敏捷、慈惠。恭敬就不会受到侮辱,宽厚就能得到众人的拥护,诚信就能得到别人的任用,敏捷就能建功立业,慈惠就足以使唤人。” [跟随他的邦国(顺应国家的发展)]解释无妄初九 “不妄为,前往吉祥。” [与喜悦相契合]解释大畜上九 “何等通畅的天上大路,亨通。”

1837 坎之萃

中文:[享受丰厚的福禄,承载着福气和福祉]解释坎卦的卦辞 “习坎卦,有诚信,内心亨通,行动有嘉尚。” [衰落之后又重新兴起,世代延续长久]解释姤九五 “用葫芦瓜包裹着,蕴含着文采,有(福运)从天而降。” [生病时进献新麦,晋国人前去讣告(国君去世)]解释萃初六的象辞 “既混乱又聚集在一起,是因为他们的志向混乱。” 指的是晋景公吃新献的麦子,上厕所时陷入粪坑而死。尚氏注释说 “《左传・成十年》记载:晋侯想吃新麦,让甸人进献新麦,将要吃的时候去世了。赴告,就是向各国报丧(国君去世)。”

中文:[无端发怒失去精气,自己使得自己恐惧悔恨]解释序卦 “坎,是陷入的意思。” [惊恐不安的恐惧]解释震卦的象辞 “接连不断的雷声,是震卦。君子因此在恐惧中修身反省。” 忪忪,是惊恐不安的意思。 [君子没有过错]解释艮六五 “抑制自己的口颊(不妄言),说话有条理,悔恨就会消失。” 意思是抑制自己的口而不妄言,可以使悔恨消失。

中文:[一只三条腿的孤单的鸟,是神灵明智的督邮]解释坎卦的卦辞 “习坎卦,有诚信。内心亨通,行动有嘉尚。” 尚氏注释说 “《五行志》记载:太阳中有三只脚的鸟。督邮,是郡里的督察官员,从西汉到魏晋都有这个官职,陶渊明不愿意为督邮弯腰行礼说的就是这种官职。” [监督过错、惩罚恶行,却伤害了自己的家族]解释兑九五 “在小人剥落阳刚之时而施信于小人,有危险。” [因为事物的涣散、毁坏而感到忧虑]解释涣卦的卦名,(表示)涣散。 [集注]0576 小畜卦之未济卦,1330 噬嗑卦之鼎卦。

1853坎之中孚[南行棗園, 惡虎畏班]惡虎畏駿馬. 釋序卦"坎者, 陷也." 翟云"楚人謂虎曰班, 見漢書敍傳” 虎班, 虎的班文, 亦指有虎紋的駿馬. [執火銷金]以火剋金. 釋節六四"安節, 亨." 尚注"虎為金精, 以火銷金, 故無虎患." [使我無患]釋中孚初九"虞吉, 有它不燕."

1853 坎之中孚

中文:[向南行走来到枣园,凶猛的老虎害怕有斑纹的骏马]凶猛的老虎害怕骏马。解释序卦 “坎,是陷入的意思。” 翟云 “楚国人把老虎叫做‘班’,见于《汉书・叙传》” 虎班,指老虎的斑纹,也指有虎纹的骏马。 [拿着火去熔化金属]用火来克制金属。解释节六四 “安于节制,亨通。” 尚氏注释说 “老虎是金之精气所化,用火来熔化金属,所以没有老虎带来的祸患。” [使我没有祸患]解释中孚初九 “安守本分就吉祥,若另有他求则不得安宁。”

英文:[Walking south to the date orchard, the fierce tiger is afraid of the horse with 斑纹] The fierce tiger is afraid of the horse. Explain the Sequence of Hexagrams: "Kan means falling into." Zhai Yun said, "The people of Chu call the tiger 'Ban', as recorded in 'Han Shu・Xu Zhuan'." "Hu Ban" refers to the tiger's stripes and also the horse with tiger stripes. [Holding fire to melt the metal] Using fire to restrain the metal. Explain the fourth hexagram line of Jie: "Being content with restraint, prosperous." Shang's annotation says, "The tiger is transformed from the essence of metal. Using fire to melt the metal, so there is no disaster brought by the tiger." [Making me free from disasters] Explain the first hexagram line of Zhong Fu: "Being content with one's duty is auspicious. If there are other pursuits, there will be no peace."

中文:[到山上去寻找鹿,与利益没有缘分]解释坎卦的卦辞 “习坎卦,有诚信。内心亨通,行动有嘉尚。” 翟云 “怨,应当写作‘缘’。” [又瞎又聋不说话]解释中孚六三 “遇到敌人,有的人击鼓进攻,有的人疲惫休止,有的人哭泣,有的人歌唱。” [谁知道其中的欢乐呢]解释小过卦的卦名,(表示)稍有过度。

英文:[Going to the mountain to look for deer, having no connection with profit] Explain the Judgment of Kan: "The hexagram Xi Kan, having sincerity. The heart is prosperous, and the action is commendable." Zhai Yun said, "Yuan should be written as 'Yuan' (fate)." [Being both blind and deaf and not speaking] Explain the third hexagram line of Zhong Fu: "Encountering the enemy, some people beat the drum to attack, some people are tired and stop, some people cry, and some people sing." [Who knows the joy in it?] Explain the name of the hexagram Xiao Guo, (indicating) a slight excess.

 

1855坎之既濟[行旅困蹴, 失明守宿]釋坎初六"習坎, 入于坎窞, 凶." [囹圄之憂]釋小過九三"弗過防之, 從或戕之, 凶." 四部注"囹圄, 獄名.” [啓蟄出遊]釋既濟卦名, 事已成. 蟄, 冬眠. 啓蟄, 出獄.

1855 坎之既济

中文:[旅行在外困苦局促,失去视力只能守着住宿的地方]解释坎初六 “习坎卦,陷入到陷坑之中,凶险。” [有牢狱之灾的忧虑]解释小过九三 “没有及时防备,有人会伤害他,凶险。” 四部注释说 “囹圄,是监狱的名称。” [像惊蛰时节万物复苏一样出狱出游]解释既济卦的卦名,(表示)事情已经成功。蛰,指冬眠。启蛰,指出狱。

英文:[Being in distress and constraint during the journey, losing sight and having to stay at the place of accommodation] Explain the first hexagram line of Kan: "The hexagram Xi Kan, falling into the pit, ominous." [Having the worry of imprisonment] Explain the third hexagram line of Xiao Guo: "Not preventing in time, someone will harm him, ominous." The annotation in Sibu says, "Ling Yu is the name of the prison." [Going out of prison and traveling like all things recover in the Jingzhe season] Explain the name of the hexagram Ji Ji, (indicating) that the matter has been accomplished. "Zhe" refers to hibernation. "Qi Zhe" refers to getting out of prison.

 

1856坎之未濟[據棘履𣏌, 跌刺為憂]䆁坎初六"習坎, 入于坎窞, 凶.”[夫婦不和]釋既濟象"水在火上, 既濟. 君子以思患而豫防之." [亂我良家]釋未濟象"火在水上, 未濟. 君子以慎辨物居方."

1856 坎之未济

中文:[脚踩着荆棘和蒺藜,因跌倒刺伤而忧虑]阐释坎初六 “习坎卦,陷入到陷坑之中,凶险。” [夫妻之间不和睦]解释既济卦的象辞 “水在火的上面,是既济卦。君子因此要思考可能出现的祸患并预先防范。” [扰乱了我美好的家庭]解释未济卦的象辞 “火在水的上面,是未济卦。君子因此要谨慎地辨别事物并使它们各居其位。”

英文:[Stepping on thorns and tribulus terrestris, worrying about falling and being stabbed] Explain the first hexagram line of Kan: "The hexagram Xi Kan, falling into the pit, ominous."
