3585 巽之乾[在沫乡采摘唐菜,在桑林中约定幽会之期],用来解释《杂卦》中 “巽卦,意味着潜伏”。[失去信用没有赴约],用来解释《杂卦》中 “未济卦,意味着男子陷入困境”。[忧愁思虑使得衣带变紧],用来解释《乾》卦上九爻 “高亢的龙有所悔恨”。约带就是系紧衣带,《桧风・素冠》篇中说 “我心蕴结”。《曹风・鸤鸠》中说 “心如止水结兮”。正义解释说 “忧愁无法消散,如同东西被包裹缠绕”。[集注]:参考 0405 条《师》变为《噬嗑》、1103 条《蛊》变为《谦》、1180 条《临》变为《大过》、1568 条《无妄》变为《恒》的注解。

["Worry and anxiety make the belt tighten"] is used to explain the top yang line of the hexagram of Qian that "The lofty dragon has regret." Yuedai means tightening the belt. It is said in the "Su Guan" chapter of the "Songs of Gui" that "My heart is full of depression." It is said in the "Shi Jiu" of the "Songs of Cao" that "My heart is as still as water and knotted." The Zhengyi explains that "The worry cannot be dispelled, just like things being wrapped and entangled." Translation:For "Xun turning into Tun" of 3587:["The virtue of implementing benevolent government grows day by day"] is used to explain the fifth yang line of the hexagram of Xun that "Adhering to the right path is auspicious, the regret disappears, and there is nothing unfavorable." Gentlemen therefore bear all things with profound virtue." 3591 巽之师[像水獭一样摆动尾巴,追逐云彩吹动水面],用来解释《杂卦》中 “巽卦,意味着潜伏”。[把污泥当作陆地],用来解释《讼》卦的象辞 “天与水的运行方向相反,象征着讼。君子因此做事要谋划好开始”。[低洼的田地适宜种植稷],用来解释《师》卦的象辞 “地中有水,象征着师。君子因此容纳百姓、蓄养众人”。[集注]:参考 0821 条《同人》变为《渐》的注解。

Translation:For "Xun turning into Shi" of 3591:["Wagging the tail like an otter, chasing the clouds and blowing the water surface"] is used to explain what is said in the "Zagua" that "The hexagram of Xun means lurking." ["Taking the sludge as the land"] is used to explain the image words of the hexagram of Song that "The running directions of heaven and water are opposite, symbolizing Song. Gentlemen therefore should plan the beginning well when doing things." ["The low-lying field is suitable for planting Ji"] is used to explain the image words of the hexagram of Shi that "There is water in the earth, symbolizing Shi. Gentlemen therefore accommodate the common people and nurture the multitude." 3592巽之比[天門九重, 深內難通]釋雜卦"巽, 伏也." [明登至莫]釋雜卦"師, 憂." 莫的甲骨文字形, 像太陽落在草木之中, 是暮的本字. [不見神公]釋比上六"比之无首, 凶." 尚注”後漢郎顗傳:神在天門, 出入聽候, 言神在戌亥, 司候帝王興衰得失.”[集注]0071坤之師.

["Walking from the daytime until the evening"] is used to explain what is said in the "Zagua" that "The hexagram of Shi means worry." The oracle bone inscriptions form of "Mo" is like the sun setting among the grass and trees, and it is the original character of "Mu" (dusk). ["Not seeing the god"] is used to explain the top yin line of the hexagram of Bi that "Attaching to others but having no leader, there is danger." Shang's annotation: "Recorded in the 'Biography of Lang Yi in the Book of the Later Han Dynasty': The god is at the Gate of Heaven, going in and out to observe and wait, which means that the god is in the positions of Xu and Hai and is in charge of the rise and fall and the gains and losses of the emperor." 3593巽之小畜[闇目失明, 耳閼不聰]釋巽九三"頻巽, 吝." 闇, 昏昧. 尚注”閼, 音遏, 壅塞也.”[陷入深淵]釋比上六"比之无首, 凶." [滅頂憂凶]釋小畜初九"復自道, 何其咎?吉." [集注]3696兑之井.

3593 巽之小畜[眼睛昏昧看不见东西,耳朵堵塞听不分明],用来解释《巽》卦九三爻 “频频表示顺从,有困难”。闇,是昏昧的意思。尚氏注解 “閼,读音为遏,是壅塞的意思”。[陷入深深的深渊],用来解释《比》卦上六爻 “亲附于人却没有首领,有凶险”。[灭顶之灾令人担忧凶险],用来解释《小畜》卦初九爻 “返回到自己的道路上,有什么过错呢?吉祥”。[集注]:参考 3696 条《兑》变为《井》的注解。

Translation:For "Xun turning into Xiaoxu" of 3593:["The eyes are dim and cannot see things, and the ears are blocked and cannot hear clearly"] is used to explain the third yang line of the hexagram of Xun that "Frequently showing compliance, there are difficulties." An means "dim". Shang's annotation: "E, pronounced as E, means blocking." ["Falling into the deep abyss"] is used to explain the top yin line of the hexagram of Bi that "Attaching to others but having no leader, there is danger." ["The disaster of being submerged makes people worry about the danger"] is used to explain the first yang line of the hexagram of Xiaoxu that "Returning to one's own path, what fault is there? ["The imbalance of yin and yang causes diseases"] is used to explain the top yang line of the hexagram of Xiaoxu that "It has rained and stopped. Admiring the morality, it is dangerous for the woman to adhere to the right path. When the moon is nearly full, it is dangerous for the gentleman to go on an expedition." ["The harvest of the year is greatly damaged"] is used to explain the fourth yang line of the hexagram of Lü that "Stepping on the tail of the tiger, feeling fearful and cautious, it is finally auspicious." 3595巽之泰[三階土廊, 德義明堂]釋巽象"隨風, 巽. 君子以申命行事." 尚注"漢書東方朔傳注:泰階者, 天之三階也. 上階為天子, 中階為諸侯公卿大夫, 下階為士庶人." 明堂:宣明政教之地. [交讓往來, 享燕相承]釋履初九"素履, 往无咎."[箕伯朝王, 錫我玄黃] 釋泰卦辭"小㹥大來, 吉, 亨." 四部注"箕伯即箕子, 武王伐紂, 遂歸周, 封於朝鮮."

3595 巽之泰[三阶的土廊,是宣扬德义的明堂],用来解释《巽》卦的象辞 “随从风,象征着巽。君子因此申述命令,施行事务”。尚氏注解 “《汉书・东方朔传》注解:泰阶,是上天的三阶。上阶代表天子,中阶代表诸侯、公卿、大夫,下阶代表士人和平民”。明堂:是宣明政教的地方。[相互谦让,往来有礼,宴享相承],用来解释《履》卦初九爻 “穿着朴素的鞋子前行,前往没有过错”。[箕伯朝拜君王,赐予我黑色和黄色的物品],用来解释《泰》卦的卦辞 “小的离去,大的到来,吉祥,亨通”。四部注解 “箕伯就是箕子,武王讨伐商纣,箕子于是归顺周朝,被封在朝鲜”。

Translation:For "Xun turning into Tai" of 3595:["The earth corridor with three steps is the Mingtang for proclaiming morality and righteousness"] is used to explain the image words of the hexagram of Xun that "Following the wind, symbolizing Xun. Gentlemen therefore state the orders and carry out the affairs." Shang's annotation: "The annotation in the 'Biography of Dongfang Shuo in the Book of Han': Taijie is the three steps of heaven. The upper step represents the Son of Heaven, the middle step represents the feudal lords, grandees, ministers, and the lower step represents the scholars and the common people." Mingtang is the place for proclaiming the politics and education. ["Mutually yielding, having courtesy in coming and going, and the feasts are passed on"] is used to explain the first yang line of the hexagram of Lü that "Wearing simple shoes and moving forward, going forward has no fault."
